Online advertising is the lifeblood of any online business, without which there is no long-term future. It is often considered the most difficult skill to master in the online world. It’s imperative that businesses and solo entrepreneurs learn how to attract leads & customers to their businesses.

I do want to bring up an important point before I dive into a more efficient lead generation system. You HAVE to have goals. Not only do you have to have goals, they have to be written down; otherwise, you’re already on the path to failure. You have to stay on your chosen path. Like Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz, you can’t stray from the yellow brick road to the Emerald City – green like dollar bills!

Traditionally, advertising via print, TV or radio was the best way for companies to build their band, raise awareness of their product or service, and to keep themselves at the top-of-mind awareness necessary for long-term success. If the recent pandemic has shown us anything, however, it is that the dominance of the online world is here and will only continue to grow. In my 10+ years as an online marketing expert, I’ve seen my revenues and expansion grow in direct proportion to how much I advertise online. I have striven to convince my students of this fact. Replication is the easiest way to success but I’ve found that I can’t inspire my students to replicate my teachings until I’ve succeed in convincing them of the “why.” Why online advertising is so important?

Reason #2: Branding Opportunities For Your Business Are Limitless

Let’s face it – you can’t adequately brand yourself or your business if you can’t drive people (traffic) to your website. While social media marketing campaigns should also be used, online advertising is the most effective way to drive eyeballs directly to your website.


The beauty of online advertising is that people are already searching for what your business is offering – you just have to make it easier for them to find you. Online advertising allows you to engage with your future clients, introduce your business to them, find out what messages best appeal to them, and get them to visit your site.


If you can absorb how I teach my students, you will learn how to connect with your customers on an emotional level. This will generate a desire for them to not only buy once, but many times as you continue to market to them. Each “touch” will generate more awareness, interest, and finally, loyalty to your product/service/opportunity. The result of this leads to more sales.

Analytics are one of God’s gifts to online marketers. Nowadays, any technology that you use gives you a plethora of analytics to help you track your visitors’ exact level of engagement. You can see how long people spend interacting with your ad, the number of people who click through to your website and it’s even possible to see who translates to a sale.


Ultimately, online advertising allows you to monitor the entire customer journey from someone viewing your advert to making an enquiry or purchasing one of your products. By tracking this journey, you can see where your most engaged customers come from and effectively tailor your online advertising campaign to make the most out of your budget.
